About Ryan Wyness
With more than 30 years in the wine industry, Ryan has cultivated vineyards and crafted wines in both cold and warm climates, giving him a rare depth of practical knowledge.
His work combines traditional viticultural wisdom with modern, sustainable techniques, always with a deep respect for nature’s balance and the individuality of each site.
With the rapid growth of boutique vineyards across Britain, I have seen an incredible surge of passion and innovation in English viticulture and am proud to be part of that journey.
Viticulture consultancy
Through my consultancy, I work directly with new and established producers across the UK, offering hands-on mentorship in pruning and vineyard management, guidance with establishment and harvest, and detailed wine analysis and evaluation. My goal is simple: to help each client achieve excellence from vine to bottle.
Drawing on local and international experience, as well as a deep commitment to supporting small-scale producers, I believe that the next generation of quality British wines will come from those willing to combine craftsmanship, curiosity, and care for the land.
